XM Series of Fuel Cell Test Modules
XM2000 Master Module
The XM2000 Master module links the User PC Serial port to the other XM Modules. The master module converts the RS232 ASCII serial commands sent from the PC to RS485 ASCII serial data which is used to communicate with the modules. The master monitors the RS485 bus and informs the user if there are errors on the RS485 bus. The RS485 bus can drive up to 32 modules distributed over a maximum distance of 200 metres.
XM2010 Electronic Load Module
XM2020 Thermocouple Module
The XM2020 Thermocouple Module is intended to be to measure fuel cell temperatures via two type K thermocouples (not supplied). It also has two change over relays for system control and two wide range digital inputs. The user is able to read the thermocouples, view the digital input states and set the relays the RS485 interface. A simple ASCII command set provides the user with a set of commands to control the module.
XM2040 Analogue Voltage Module
The XM2040 Thermocouple Module is intended to be to measure fuel cell voltages. An important feature of the module is that the voltage measuring stage is optically isolated from the rest of the system, this allows Fuel Cell voltages to be measured without ground loop offset voltages causing errors in the reading There are 4 analogue inputs (common ground) that can be used to measure voltages. The voltage ranges are set at the factory and be set between 4 and 40 volts, each channel can be set to a different range if required. The user is able to read the voltages via the RS485 interface. A simple ASCII command set provides the user with a set of commands to control the module.
XM2060 Relay Module
The XM2060 Relay Module has six change over relay that the user is able to set via the RS485 interface. A simple ASCII command set provides the user with a set of commands to control the module.
XSkryptor Script Language (to be released soon)
XSkyptor is a simple scripting language that allows users to write test routines for the XM Modules. As the script runs the commands being executed are displayed on a console screen allowing the test to be monitored. Test results can be logged to a spreadsheet file for subsequent analysis. Simple loops are supported allowing tests to be repeated for a defined number of times or until a variable being tested reaches a defined state.
